Farm finances might not be top of mind during planting and harvest, but they rise to the top of the list around 12/31.  Finance is more than “tax planning”; it’s proving up your year’s work and demonstrating your farm’s financial viability.  Some questions you may be asking yourself are:  Was my farm profitable?  What in the world happened to my working capital? I own plenty of land, isn’t that the most important thing?

In this presentation, Rebecca King, Director, Agriculture at Old National Bank, will discuss the pros of good farm financial records and the pitfalls that can occur without accurate records.  She will provide insight into what is really important to your banker and how your record keeping and planning can help you keep the farm financed in tough times, as well as the good times.
